Signing Day is always a monumental occasion for our neighbors.

With unanimous approval from City Council on August 25, 2021, The City of Dallas deployed the Dallas R.E.A.L. Time Rapid Rehousing (DRTRR) Initiative in partnership with Dallas County, Dallas Housing Authority, the local Continuum of Care via the lead agency, Housing Forward, and area homeless service providers. Through this, many unsheltered residents are now housed and more will continue to be throughout the two-year process, ending with a goal of over 2,000 people re-housed by the end of 2023.

All neighbors receive a welcome home kit provided by Housing Forward’s “We Come Home” campaign along with a hefty donation of furniture to start them on their way. They will continue to work with their case managers for continuum of care.
